Again, he let the statement hang, as if inviting someone�anyone�to break the silence with an idea. Themba cleared his throat, shifting his weight before lifting a hand halfway, a subtle gesture that said he had something to add. �Yes, Themba...� The Brigadier said, turning toward him and pointing with a slight tilt of his head. Themba was leaning against the kitchen doorframe, his posture casual, but his eyes sharp with thought. �I don�t think this should be a head-scratcher,� Themba said, his voice calm but pointed. �We�ve got the Captain right here�he told us Mazibuko claimed to know who owns those gadgets.� He nodded toward Captain Kgole, who gave a small, confirming dip of his head. �So,� Themba continued, straightening from the doorframe, �I say our first stop is John Vorster Square�Lieutenant Mazibuko�s office.� Silence settled over the room once more as the team absorbed the suggestion, weighing it in their own minds. Mabena offered no comment, his expression unreadable. He had already gone over this with General Kunene and Themba was spot on. �That sounds good,� Mantwa said, cutting in. �But do we need a subpoena to talk to him, or do we just confront him?� �I think a subpoena will be necessary,� Thabo replied, leaning forward. �Remember, he�s not just a source�he�s a suspect. And as much as he�s an officer of the law, we need something to force him into submission.� �We need a subpoena,� Brigadier Mabena interjected, his tone leaving no room for debate. He didn�t mention that General Kunene was already working on it. Instead, he paused, eyes sweeping over the team before adding, �But first� we pay him a visit�at his house tonight. See where his head is. Test if he�s ready to talk� or if he�s going to be a hard nut to crack.� Themba�s eyes widened slightly, a flicker of surprise breaking through his usually composed face. �That would be like telling him the Mambas have the gadgets,� he said
